Under the project management of Schnabel Consult, Europe's largest data center was completed in late 2013. Equinix meets the highest technical and safety claims for financial institutions or multinational corporations. The project scope included planning and design of the new building, as well as monitoring the construction phase to operational readiness and handover to the operating company. Up to 20 suppliers of the individual trades needed to be coordinated. But even beforehand, it was necessary to conduct intensive coordination meetings with the authorities. For example, the Pollution Act stipulating 50 m tall chimneys of the emergency power plant could be reduced to 30 m.
